To get you started on your road to success...

Get Organized

When you're ready to make a change in your life, de-cluttering your work and/or living spaces is the best way to get started. De-cluttering can mean organizing a messy closet, cleaning out a junk drawer, simplifying your schedule, and so on. Take some time to make one part of your world simple and manageable. What areas of your life need de-cluttering? What's one thing you can do to get started?

Write Daily

Writing in a journal is a great way to sort out your thoughts, feelings, and desires. Take the time to find or make a journal that is just right for you. The key is to write whatever thoughts come to mind: successes, disappointments, zany ideas, daily log, or whatever you wish. After several weeks have past, reread your writings...look for patterns, ideas, or themes that may stand out to you.

Give Generously

Find a way to give something of yourself to someone else. This may be through your time, money, or gifts. Perhaps it's through a generous tip for a server, visiting someone in the hospital, reading to a child or elderly, or by donating food to a food bank. Think of ways in which you can reach out to others this week.

Dream BIG!

What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail? Dreaming BIG can help you think beyond your current real or perceived limitations. One way to do this is to imagine that you had unlimited money and resources. What would you do with all that money?  What changes, if any, would you make in your life? Make a list and write your thoughts down. Notice if your BIG Dreams have any patterns, i.e., travel, sports, writing, philanthropy, and so on. Is there anything on your list that you can start now?

Connect With Nature

Plan an hour or two to spend out in nature. Perhaps there is a park, lake, river, zoo, garden, forest, beach nearby where you can go.  Oftentimes, we neglect this important aspect of our hectic lives, too busy to take some quiet and refreshing times for ourselves. Find a quiet spot and take in your beautiful surroundings. Notice the environment with all five of your senses: sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. Appreciate the calm, relaxed feelings that being in nature often brings. Tap into your inner happiness by getting in touch with the true pulse of life.
